Is Spore gonna die to DRM?

I've been craving to play Spore since I watched this very very old youtube video of Robin Williams playing it:




However, this suggests that their business model is already failing due to the use of DRM.

Will I ever be able to play it?

Really. I mean it. When I'm dead, and nobody can ask me what I want... don't bury me or burn me near a cross or a priest. That's not what I want. I f*%$ing hate priests and religion.
