White noise

I was browsing the web yesterday and I've found a really useful website with a tutorial on OpenGL (unfortunately I wasn't on this computer and don't have the link). Reading that tutorial, there was a small comment about the web: "I'm gonna add my little contribution to the white noise that is the web".

So this is what the web is: white noise.

I couldn't agree more with him. It is noise. But I couldn't disagree more, because his "contribution to the noise" was really helpful to me. Meaning it wasn't noise at all. Actually, whereas this might seem like a oximoron, I don't think there's any contradiction. I think it's alright to write just to be amidst the noise, but I might reach one or two people for whom this is really important.
