Radical Novelty

I was browsing by my Google Reader subscriptions this noon, and I've come across this really unexpected article called "On the cruelty of really teaching computing science" HTML link here. By the way, the original Slashdot.org post is here at this blog, over at the right column.

Two cool things about this paper:
1) Teaching a radical novelty is cruel.
2) Always keep your ears sharp for cheap metaphors.
