My love for Sasha Grey is platonic
So I watch Entourage, which is one of those cool-ish TV series by HBO. Reminds me of a movie called Be Cool, which is cool because there are so many celebrities parading on the screen.
(disclaimer: I love Aerosmith from the 90s and shit, but I do find the whole thing irresistibly cheesy)
In the latest episodes, my favorite make believe celebrity has started bedding and hanging out with Ms. Sasha Grey. She was introduced in the show as: "Hey, check it out. Vince's talking to that porn star Sasha Grey". And then the entourage proceeded to elaborate on whether he realized who he was talking to.
Pretty cool schtuff.
Many other celebrities had shown up as themselves in Entourage, so I googled Sasha and thought it'd be interesting watching Girlfriend Experience. At this point I didn't even know if this was a porn movie or what. The movie let me puzzled, so I wanted to read more about it and stumbled upon this interview where he elaborates on the movie and on Sasha.
She's a new sort of creature. Being a porn star is something she has no problem with.
Seriously, I cannot say the same for my own line of work, so I've been figuring out some new things about myself and how I interact with the world (so to speak). You may or may not know Seth Godin, who blogged a post entitled "moving on", as in: now I'm moving on from writing books in the format that we currently have. Also, this dude has enlightened me again and again. He is a big shot with 12 published books, but he's giving up this market simply because he knows it is dying.
He's a new sort of creature too. He's a role model, but Sasha is an inspiration.
